We started in the industry in 2001 as a service technician. I worked on heating and air conditioning systems along with electrical systems and plumbing and well pumps as an apprentice. In 2005, I bought into my 1st company in Mount Pulaski, IL. We grew from a two-man shop to an 8-person shop in 4 years. We started doing solar panels and wind turbines in 2009. In 2015, my wife and I purchased a heating and cooling company in Springfield, IL. We grew that shop from seven people to 50+ in 2021. In 2021, I retired. After 3 years of retirement, I realized that I needed to be around people and needed to be challenged. So I decided to start Black Tie Home Services.
